Lemon Ginger Zinger with Coconut Water

The votes are in and the winner is....(drumroll please!) the Lemon Ginger Zinger.

Just like our Vegan Green Detox smoothie from last week, this recipe is sure to give you a fresh start. Whether that's in the morning, after a big weekend or after a big year! A reboot to the system requires some fairly special products but don't worry, the old faithful GoCoco features too! Complex products with a simple method, let's do this.

What you need:

  • 3-4 sweet basil leaves
  • 1 inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1/2 cup GoCoco Coconut Water
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons coconut nectar (or agave syrup)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • about 3 cups of ice cubes

Method:

It couldn't be simpler. Chuck everything but the ice into the blender and then once blended, add ice until 2 inches above the liquid line and blend again. Serve and enjoy!
