  • GoCoco Champers Punch

    The big day is nearly here. New Years Eve is often a very stressful time; what to wear, where to go, what are we having as a tipple, how are we getting home? Yup, stress!

    Let's take care of at least one thing; your drink.


    Since it's NYE, we have opted for an alcoholic fruit punch. Don't worry, there is no need to add the champagne (fancy!) element to it and it still hits the spot. And better yet, it's Vegan, Gluten Free, Soy Free and No Sugar Added...your health campaign has practically started.

    What you need:

    This makes 3 cups of punch; double or triple amounts if required

    • 1 1/2 cups of GoCoco Coconut Water
    • 1 cup+ champagne or white wine* (optional)
    • 1/2 cup+ orange juice (or other juice; pineapple, apple, pomegranate, grape)
    • 1/4 cup to 2 cups+ fruit, frozen or fresh (quantity used will vary from a couple berries or cubes of pineapple as a garnish to 1 to 2+ cups of fruit added to the punch mixture such as orange wedges, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, watermelon cubes, mango cubes, etc.)
    • splash grenadine (optional)
    • 1 drop pink or red food food coloring (optional)

    The Method:

    Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl or pitcher, stir to combine, cool in the fridge before serving.

    *If you do not drink alcohol, you can use non-alcoholic wine or champagne, white grape juice, or simply omit and adjust proportions of other ingredients to taste.

    Note: Ice waters down the punch so using frozen fruit will help keep the punch colder and (it’s cheaper than fresh anyway. Or freeze pineapple juice, orange juice, apple juice, or coconut water in ice cube trays in advance to use as the “ice” cubes. If you are using a considerable amount of ice, you may want to increase the amount of wine or champagne, to taste.)

  • GoCoco Coconut Coffee

    Thank you for voting over on Twitter. This week the winning recipe is one to surely put a spring in your step, it’s a coconut water coffee.
    Let’s face it, we love coffee here at the Coconut Crib. We even ran a competition last month to win some delicious Minor Figures Cold Brew. Today, however, it’s time to DIY and make your own delicious morning pick me up!
    True coffee aficionados will say "WHAT, INSTANT COFFEE?” but some of us just don’t have the time or equipment to get their brew on. So let’s get crackin'!


    What you need:

    • 1 tbsp instant espresso powder (or 1 shot of espresso)
    • ½ cup boiling water
    • 1 tbsp fat-free sweetened condensed milk (or any milk you prefer)
    • ½ cup coconut water
    • Ice

    The method:

    • In a large glass combine the espresso powder and boiling water and mix until dissolved. (Alternately use ½ cup strong brewed coffee).
    • Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until dissolved. If you find it is taking a while, reheat the mixture and continue stirring.
    • Once dissolved add the coconut water.
    • Fill the remaining space in the glass with ice.
    • Serve immediately.

  • Lemon Ginger Zinger with Coconut Water

    The votes are in and the winner is....(drumroll please!) the Lemon Ginger Zinger.

    Just like our Vegan Green Detox smoothie from last week, this recipe is sure to give you a fresh start. Whether that's in the morning, after a big weekend or after a big year! A reboot to the system requires some fairly special products but don't worry, the old faithful GoCoco features too! Complex products with a simple method, let's do this.


    What you need:

    • 3-4 sweet basil leaves
    • 1 inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled
    • 1/2 cup GoCoco Coconut Water
    • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • 2 tablespoons coconut nectar (or agave syrup)
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • about 3 cups of ice cubes


    It couldn't be simpler. Chuck everything but the ice into the blender and then once blended, add ice until 2 inches above the liquid line and blend again. Serve and enjoy!

  • The GoCoco Coconut Water Nojito

    Summer is well and truly here and whether it’s BBQ’s in the back garden, house parties or even just sitting in when the weather isn’t playing fair, we all deserve a drink that epitomises this time of year. What better drink than a mojito…and what better drink than one you can have guilt free. Let me introduce the GoCoco Coconut Water Nojito. That’s a non-alcoholic mojito to those not in the know.

    Arrive and leave the party in style whilst looking ridiculously good looking drinking your new summer drink!


    What you need:

    • 1/2 a lime, cut into 3 wedges
    • 2 sprigs of fresh mint
    • 1/2 tsp of unrefined sugar
    • Ice cubes
    • 100ml of GoCoco Coconut Water
    • 100ml of soda water
    • A tumbler glass

    Prep time: 5 minutes

    • Add lime wedges into the glass, squeezing as you do. Watch out for those pips!
    • Slap the mint off the back of your hand (it releases flavour) and add to the glass.
    • Put in the sugar and muddle using the wrong end of a wooden spoon. Basically mix it up!
    • Simple add the ice, the GoCoco and the soda water and stir.
    • Pop in a straw (umbrellas are optional) and sit back and enjoy!
