  • Jamie's Back: This time with a tropical twist!





    Coconut crazy Jamie LLoyd is back with a smoothie recipe so nutritious you'll be left feeling fresh for days! Jamie is the industries top man in the known when it comes down to fitness nutrition and exercise, responsible for whipping many of the nations most glamorous A-Listers into shape! Straight from #jamieskitchen, this high potassium coconut water blend not only hydrates but also aids in rapid recovery, weight loss and provides three of your 5 a day! Here's how to do it at home:

    1 Mango Diced:

    Mango fruit is rich in pre-biotic dietary fibre and contains several essential vitamins and minerals. Its' poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds will keep tired skin looking young and well rested. According to new research study, mango fruit has been found to protect against colon, breast, leukaemia and prostate cancers.

    1 Banana Diced:

    Banana is a naturally high source of vitamin A and potassium, as well as providing dietry fibre necessary to regulate digestion and prevent constipation. Their probiotic properties increase the number of good bacteria in the gut helping the gut cope with toxins. They also contain high levels of vitamin B which aids in the production of white blood cells.  Most of all, potassium is a great reliever of muscle cramps and this smoothie works after evening exercise to prevent the muscles from cramping during periods of lower blood flow when sleeping.

    1 tsp Turmeric

    Turmeric has long been used in Asian herbal medicine as an effective anti-inflammatory agent. Although very beneficial, much of the turmeric in this smoothie will not be absorbed into the blood stream... but we've got a plan. Adding some black pepper will increase the body's absorption of turmeric by 2000%! Voila!

    1 tbsp Plain Yoghurt 

    Packed with calcium, protein and potassium, consuming yoghurt is a great way to aid in muscle tissue repair and muscle growth.

    1 cube chopped ginger

    Add some chopped ginger too to boost your immune system and aid in digetsion!

    330mls Go Coco coconut water
